She greets you with her warm, terra cotta smile and parisian blue eyes.

Her cheeks flush rouge as her La Vie en Rose taunts you and local lovers alike, causing the most modest of dispositions to engage in a little joie de vivre - perhaps that top button would accidentally go unbuttoned or your hair would hang tousled, perfumed with abandon and adventure. The intoxicating smells of fresh dough and caramelized sugar leave you with a sense of liberation, all formalities excused as you savorily lick the chocolate off your fingers meanwhile whispering into your companion's ear that pain au chocolat is your new raison d'être.

As you wondrously stroll her streets, carefully noticing every detail of historic architecture, you gaze in awe at the Cathédrale Notre Dame in all its foreboding and gothic glory. The Eiffel towers above you like a giant man of iron. Versailles captivates you with its Rococo trimmings and flamboyant decor.  And the Palais du Louvre steals your breath with its curious glass pyramid housing ancient treasures and mesmerizing displays of antiquity:  Cupid and Psyche embrace in their unrivaled and divine love illumined by the westward sun. Venus de Milo is flawlessly imperfect, every inch marbled with femininity and grace. The Winged Victory is prominently displayed as she stands on the prow of her ship, awaiting flight. All were once solid stone, a mere handbreadth of an idea, until their masters chiseled, refined and smoothed their forms into beauteous perfection.

Paris, she swoons you with her buttered puff pastry and vivacious air. She humbles you with her monuments of ancient past. She wakes you up with her gypsy jazz and sultry two step. She kisses you wildly as a lover, leaving you breathless and feeling abashedly young. She steals your sleep and your heart, leaving you, after just a few days roaming her inner walls, wide-eyed and passionately loved.
