Young prince, may your long afternoons of childhood be nourished by all things wondrous and unknown. When shadows prowl at your feet, may you swiftly go beyond walking and fly to a place where neither sparrow nor crow could pilfer. A place where you are ambushed by imagination as your stories spill onto each brimming page. I charge you, young prince, to search the valleys, scour the river’s bottom, and feel, as the birds do, how the air expands your wings. May your hope be that of future springtimes. May your heart yield only to the deepest of love. May your courage be a vast reservoir that flows forth to refresh others. May your early years be blessed with sweet reverie, limitless and free as each new day reaches beyond all your expectations. Do not fear the unexpected turns in your path, nor life’s riddles that puzzle your exceptional mind. For you are deeply and fervently loved, and that my prince, will eclipse all of life’s sorrows. Thousands of kisses shall brush your cheek, and your smile will enter the hearts of many, leaving an impression that will span lifetimes. Treasure your sense of wonder, find adventure even in the darkest of woods. And when you feel lost, remember this lullaby, and let it spring forth and boldly carry you  into the calm and beautiful night.
